Beautiful Blushing Bridal… Jess

Here they are!!! SO excited to finally get to share the stunning & beautiful, newly married, Mrs. Thompson’s Bridal Portraits from earlier this month. Oh, okay… I know, it’s only been about 2.5 weeks so ‘finally’ might be a little stretch… but it feels like forever when holding onto these things 😉 . I really truly don’t know how my photographer friends handle holding for months.

For this session, we met at one of my fav spots… the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, starting with some portraits that included her adorable daughter in their ‘princess’ attire, then letting her go as we moved onto Jess all on her own. As you’ve seen already, Jess is quite amazing at being open to letting me play around, do different things & even learn new things as we work through her sessions. To share a little more about Jess… beyond her beauty on the outside, she is equally as beautiful inside – a loving & adoring mom of a sweet 4 year old daughter, has her own fabulous style that crosses different styles & confidently rocks it as she fits in probably anywhere she goes, appreciates art, creativity & quality within such, loves her red wine or beer and date nights with that wonderful groom of hers, being totally silly & goofy and embracing that side of herself – making her always enjoyable to be around!

This session was FILLED to the brim with 1st & fun filled growth for me. Starting with actually being my 1st opportunity to do formal bridal portraits… which, as expected, I absolutely ADORED!!! They certainly go hand-in-hand with my chosen specialty focusing on Women. Even found a new favorite spot at the arboretum that I hadn’t explored before (that place is always amazing me). My 1st session taking my lighting gear out to a public venue without being in a group & being confident to do my thing with them 😉 . And… another first… I’ve also never used any sort of post-editing actions before. I thought bridal portraits might be a good time to try out some whimsical ones out… and oh yeah… LOVED them too! 🙂 (okay, so I beyond love them… I could totally relax, sit and play & play & play in Photoshop for hours with these things!) Not something I would use on all session types, but I think totally suit bridals to give them that extra fabulous artistic flair!! You’ll see a lot more variety over consistency in this session since we were playing & experimenting so much, but hope you love them as much as I do…

THANK YOU, Jess… for all the faith, confidence & loyalty you have shown me & my work… trusting in one new step after another!!
