Mackenzy… Miss Statesville’s Oustanding Teen 2018’s Sweet 16

This is Mackenzy! She is Miss Statesville’s Oustanding Teen 2018 and today is her SWEET 16 Birthday!!!…

Mackenzy initially reached out to me for her Headshot & maybe some Crown images, however, during our pre-consultation meeting they decided they wanted to go all out with a VIP session to capture all that & celebrate her Sweet 16! YES! We can absolutely do that!!! See… VIP sess’s are my favorites because they really allow opportunity for us to spend much more time together, get to know each other better and really capture a variety of sides from the beautiful client in front of me. I love that Mac & her mom have already become such sweet & dear friends through our time together!!

As it turns out, Mac definitely has her range of looks that she rocks! She is an outstanding pageant gal… poised & stunning. So that’s where we started! For her headshots, we got to work with Rodney of Robledo Studio for the first time. He’s right around the corner in my office park and it was really awesome to get to have him on this project! Right up Mac’s alley!! For the bigger session, we worked with my dear Denise of Images by Denise. We captured Mac’s crown & gown shots with a more traditional pageant feel. And oh my… she brought such beautiful gowns from her sponsor, Tracy’s On The Square, for us to capture her in! We also got to play around with some very special shots to highlight her platform, DC4K. DC4K stands for Divorce Care for Kids… Mac has been posting weekly videos on her social media discussing this as well as hosting an in person program. SO Impressive!!

Mac is not your average 16 year old. She is quite mature, both personality-wise and appearance-wise. We wanted to make sure to capture this part of who she truly is as well! She LOVES studying make-up videos and has this incredible knowledge of techniques, artists, etc. So Denise loosened up her hair more to this side of who she is and amped up that make-up to the dark smoky eyes that Mac loves so much. Her mom & I set up the studio with Sweet 16 balloons and the fun really got started! Dancing & twirling in her adorable ‘HEY GIRL!’ dress to glamming it up in her 2 piece gown accented with the bling… we had a BLAST! There is SO much I love about each of these images!!

We have a fun multi-generation planned for later this summer that personally, I CAN’T WAIT for… grandma all the way to younger sister and all the ladies in between! There’s even still more sides to who Mac is as well, a Volleyball rock star for one. But for now, here are our images featuring just Mackenzy in her array of her dressed up girly-sides – her FABULOUS eyes, that stunning smile and awesome personality…
