This May I finally got to fulfill the dream I’ve had of doing a Mother Daughter Session! Who better to do our first one with than our very own, Nola Grace & her beautiful mama, Denise! Their session was actually planned well before Nola Grace was our assistant though. As some of you may know, we gladly gift a complimentary Mother Daughter session as part of our highest Senior Session Collection. I make no attempts at being discreet that I’ll do whatever I need, to try & get mama’s to #existinportraits too! For them though, it didn’t take any convincing… they are a family that has a love of the arts and understanding of the importance & value of portraits. They excitedly took me up on the offer and I very anxiously awaited Spring to get here!
Our awesome Hair & Make-up Artist, Joanne (who also did a beautiful job on Nola Grace’s Senior Session) met Gabi & I at their home where we all had a great time as the girls got dolled up! Once ready, we had the treat of holding their session at Homewood Nursery & Garden Center. The owners of which, happen to be dear friends of their family! And what a stunning setting it provided us!! Oh, how I love it when special aspects & touches can come together for a session to be all the more meaningful! Nola Grace had a strong vision for their looks, coordinating beautifully in whites with treasured gold accents. They looked simply radiant! This was planned to be a one look session, however… well, she is our own assistant AND I simply wanted to try out our new feature… some in studio session images. That’s right… we are all set up to capture indoors as well now! So the ladies changed into black dresses with pearl & silver accents, and even a JMP gifted butterfly necklace.
Two very different feels for two extraordinary ladies with the most beautiful bond! I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I cried working on their images & reveal video. THANK YOU, Nola Grace & Denise, for being such a huge part of my growth, such strong supporters of my work & vision, and for becoming not just friends but such very dear forever friends! Love you both very much!
